Its advanced multi-layer dielectric coatings are plasma-assisted and ionbeam hardened for durability and scratch resistance. Designed for telescopes and cameras with 1.25" threads, it enhances contrast by approximately 30%, making it ideal for urban astronomers and astrophotographers seeking richer star fields and detailed nebular structures. ## Description Our 1-1/4" Light Pollution Reduction (LPR) Filters are designed to selectively reduce the transmission of certain wavelengths of light, specifically those produced by artificial light. This includes mercury vapor, and both high and low pressure sodium vapor lights and the unwanted natural light caused by neutral oxygen emission in our atmosphere (i.e. sky glow). The new ultra high contrast (UHC) LPR filter has improved contrast over the typical broadband filters. Sky background is darker, and contrast of emission nebulae are noticeably improved. The advanced technology coatings enable the filter to achieve an outstanding transmission of over 97% across the entire bandpass, with total blockage of prominent light pollution lines. The perfect filter for viewing nebula from light polluted skies, or for boosting the contrast of nebula from dark sky sites. In addition to it's optimum spectral and optical characteristics, the UHC/LPR filter offers important features that set it apart and result in the highest quality celestial views: The multi-layer dielectric coatings are plasma assisted and Ionbeam hardened using the latest technology for durability and resistance to scratching. Improved transmission translates to maximum image brightness and contrast. Users of smaller, 4"-11" telescopes will especially appreciate the high efficiency, and larger scope users will love the rich star fields and detailed subtle nebular shadings that are left intact. The high transmission, sharp cutoffs, and more moderate 60nm passband of the UHC/LPR filter retains a more natural view, yet significantly boosts overall contrast. Imagers will appreciate the broader bandpass and inclusion of an extremely efficient H-Alpha passband (656nm). ## Features - Our 1-1/4" Light Pollution Reduction (LPR) Filters are designed to selectively reduce the transmission of certain wavelengths of light, specifically those produced by artificial light ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00080L42K | | Best Sellers Rank | #60 in Telescope Filters | | Brand | Celestron | | Coating Description | Multi Coating | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Telescopes and cameras with standard 1.25-inch or 31.75mm thread size | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 131 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Optical Glass | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00050234941235 | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 1.25"D x 1.25"W x 1.25"H | | Item Dimensions L x W | 1.25"L x 1.25"W | | Item Highlight | Light Pollution Reduction, Enhanced Nebula Contrast, Darker Sky Background, High Transmission Optical Coating, For Visual Use | | Item Weight | 0.03 kg | | Light Sensitivity | high | | Manufacturer | Celestron | | Manufacturer Part Number | 94123-CGL | | Material | Optical Glass | | Media Type | ProductImage | | Model Name | 94123 | | Model Number | 94123-CGL | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Photo Filter Effect Type | Enhancing | | Photo Filter Size | 31.75 millimeters | | Photo Filter Thread Size | 31.75 millimeters | | Screen Size | 1.25 inches | | Special Effect | Enhancing | | Thread Size | 31.75 millimeters | | UPC | 050234941235 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 2 Year Limited Warranty | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Celestron - **Coating Description:** Multi Coating - **Material:** Optical Glass - **Photo Filter Effect Type:** Enhancing - **Photo Filter Size:** 31.75 millimeters - **Photo Filter Thread Size:** 31.75 millimeters - **Product Dimensions:** 1.25"L x 1.25"W - **UPC:** 050234941235 - **Water Resistance Level:** Not Water Resistant ## Images ![Celestron UHC/LPR Light Pollution Reduction Filter for Telescopes – 1.25" - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61B6lEgLU1L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Celestron 94123 1.25-Inch UHC/LPR Filter (Black) - Celestron 14 Piece Telescope Accessory Kit - Plossl Eyepieces, Barlow Lens, Colored Filters, Moon Filter, and Sturdy Carry Case - Celestron 3X - 1.25” – X-Cel LX Barlow Lens --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/2685901-celestron-uhc-lpr-light-pollution-reduction-filter-for-telescopes-1](https://www.desertcart.at/products/2685901-celestron-uhc-lpr-light-pollution-reduction-filter-for-telescopes-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
