Review: Nice strop and good deal. - Very nice strop. And works well. I was hoping for something a tad larger, but is is sufficienlty large and works well. Others I'm sure will think it's plenty large. The compound is also nice to have and to put that final bit of edge and remove the burs. Good quality leather.

Easiest way to put that final edge on a knife and it is so easy. Highly recommend to anyone. If you can't get that razor sharp edge you are doing it wrong or you didn't get it prepped (sharp enough) correctly. I can't compare to other strops but don't need too.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can this be used for a straight razer?**
A: It "can" be used for a straight razor and I myself have done some laps on it but if you are planning on trying straight razor shaving do yourself a favor and buy a razor strop. The Fromm Illinois 127 is a pretty decent budget friendly option, a little fast with low draw before it's broken in or treated but I like that and it has a linen strop as well. I wouldn't pass on this strop though as I found it to be great quality and I viewed it as I'm buying the crom. Oxide and getting a bonus small strop with it. Even if you buy a razor strop buying the green crom. Oxide is a good idea and this imo is the way to go. I personally use very old denim pants legs for the compound rather than using it on my strops. I would love to have a 20"-23" strop made from the leather I received with this order and in a pinch or travelling I would consider using this one it just takes some time and patience considering its size. If you're not getting a snag free smooth shave with a SR don't give up, learn to hone or send the razor out to be honed and invest in a decent strop to use before or after every shave.
