Should I be concerned about the lack of seal? If not, how much does the scoop hold?** A: Mine came without a seal too. I stuck an unused chop stick in the container and found the scoop was in there at least. So I dumped some out on a paper plate and retrieved the scoop. Next time I buy this I will open it at the pet store to make sure there is a seal though!! **Q: Can i use this with all kinds fresh water fish** A: No. Use this only with fish that should have a ph of 7.5. You can kill fish if that is not an appropriate ph for your fish. **Q: How much would I use for a 1.5 gallon beta tank?** A: Honestly, I would use an altogether different product as opposed to this one for a 1.5 gallon aquarium. Ideally, use a liquid based product, as it will integrate with the water chemistry a bit better. That being said, if this product is the only option you have available at present, I would dissolve a small portion (a quarter of a teaspoon, if not less) of the product in a container with some of the water from the aquarium in question. Once the product has dissolved completely, add it to the aquarium and wait a couple of hours before conducting a pH test. Also remember not to try and "chase" the pH,-(or attempt to make it "perfect" as multiple changes to the water chemistry over time will have seriously detrimental effects on your aquarium's inhabitants.
