I grease the ring before I use it to avoid any sticking of the egg to the sides. Now I get perfectly round eggs that sit exactly how I want it. We used to go to a fast food place of an egg muffin sandwich. First they used to discount the sandwich because I didn't want the sausage. Then they charged the same price with or without sausage. Then they began jacking up the price of the sandwich to about $5. We stopped our morning visit to that fast food place and now make our own and this mold does the trick. In fact, we've improved on it by spreading some TJ's Calabrian chili sauce on the bread with the egg and cheese. Also, I after toasting the muffin I put it in some butter in the frying pan to finishing browning it. Ok, I also put some pepper and Italian seasoning on the egg. Now I gave away my secret recipe. Anyhow, I do want to try to make crumpets in the mold and see what else it can be used for.
