This book is not only a good reference, it's a good instructional source. It's by far the best book on C or C++ that I've ever read (and that includes Kernighan and Ritchie). If you're looking for a book on C++, buy this one and *not* the popular one with the mountains on the cover.

Overall, it explains material in detailed. It also has some examples in which each chapter that I learnt a lot from. After each chapter, there is an review section which summarizes important notes that you should keep in mind. If you have time, let do the exercises because they are kinda helpful to practice what you learn.

This textbook is a good option for beginners of C++ programming language. I rent this book for my C++ course. Overall, it explains material in detailed. Deitel's books are very good. Condition of the book was acceptable, but that's why it lost a star.
