I've never swapped a hard drive before and even I had it done in half an hour or less from backing it up to starting a game. I have the ps4 pro so I gained 1tb. I am a little disappointed in performance though. It is 3 gig faster and 120mb in cache larger than the original but it seems to be slower in loading times sometimes by several minutes when loading a saved game. Plus side is I no longer have the freezing, crashing, or lagging that I had before so I guess the longer load times are worth it for me and it's no longer a requirement to use the external drive to do anything. I know some of these drives take longer to learn and cache data for faster times so maybe I haven't played it enough times over the past month yet to get the speed yet. Good capacity, easy install, larger cache, and faster memory but sloooow load times. I would recommend it for the storage and for replacement of the original to regain function and decent price but nothing to get too excited about with performance.Update:After using the hard drive for several months to half a year, it is performing about the same as the original as far as speed, downloads, starting games and so on. No noticeable lag or long load times like it was when I first installed the drive.
