    Great and important punk band

Social Unrest have a very distinct style that sets them apart from the rest of the pack. They were never content to rest on any perfected sound, they always evolved. Another aspect that sets them apart outside of their style and compositions would be their lyrics that diverge away from the usual rebellion and politics of punk. SU's lyrics seem to come from a lot introspection. I can't recommend the first volume of this set however as they had not found their sound and it is rather tedious. Just stick with this volume.

one of the best and most underrated REAL punk bands ever! i am glad to finally hear the album 'Now & Forever' on CD quailty, since my tape wore out about 10 years ago.
