Review: Blade is not thin and flimsy.. - I was unsure when I opened the box.. it’s smaller and thinner then what you would buy at a big box store.. it did not work on the pole I wanted it on..but I had another pole that it fit.. worked out real good. Easy fix.. blade super sharp and rigid.. Honest to god metal blade that can be sharpened..it cuts super great..needs worn in some as it a little hard to pull.. It really needs a thicker rope.. but for now, it will do..

The only issue is the rope which frequently gets caught on the bolts which fasten the head to the pole. Just need to hold the rope out and away from the pole when using the pruner. Happy with the product. Much cheaper than buying a whole new pole trimmer.

**Q: What size diameter poke does this fit? I have an old shear magic fiberglass pole.**
A: It fits a 1" pole.

**Q: Is it threaded?  My pole is 1.5 inch diameter but has a 1” threaded end with coarse threading that fits all kinds of attachments**
A: It is NOT threaded.  It does fit a 1" diameter pole which is typically hollow and has a cross hole  for a bolt to go through.  The compression by the other two bolts hold the collar down on the pole.  An extending pole is your best option for this tool.  I am happy with it as it cuts very well with the metal shear.  My old one had a metal  blade against a plastic surface which wore out.

**Q: Is the rod sold separately? What diameter rod would work with this assembly?**
A: Yes, the pole is sold separately. I purchased this saw to replace the worn out unit and installed it on my original pole.

Well made replacement for my pole saw. The blade is a bit flimsy compared to my original blade but it is very sharp and cuts through branches easily. The wing nut screws loosen easily so I would replace them with standard nuts and lock washers. Overall a good product.
