There is an emitter like device that allows water to flow from the supply side of the diaphragm to the other-side. This causes the other-side to fill up and close down flushing. The problem is that the emitter like device clogs up. Then water can't get to the otherside. So the flush valve never stops flushing. Changing out the guts (borrowed from another netafim flush valve) gets it working again. They should sell the diaphram as a separate item since it is a failure part. My water supply is filtered so its not because of dirty water. Slide the black collar over the netafim supply line, inset the LFV into the supply line, push black collar down to secure the tube against the LFV connector. **Q: The image shows a threaded connection to the waterline but the model number corresponds to a threadless "push" connection. Which is it? Thx** A: The one I received with the TLF V1 number was threaded, which is what I needed to replace an older one. **Q: where does one install the flush valve on the netafim drip lines?** A: Installs at the furthest end of the "funny pipe" drip line(s). There is a pdf design document on the Netafim website if you have a complicated layout. Put the compression washer over the flush valve stem before inserting the valve into the end of the drip line. If you disassemble the valve to clean it, remember the orientation of the internal bladder so it re-installs properly.
