## Description

Size Guide: XS (Extra Small / Kitten) : Fit for Approx. 16 weeks to 5 months of age or up to about 5.5 lb cat. S (Small) Fit for Approx. 5.5-11 pounds cats. Small-boned adult cats wear small. M (Medium) Fit for Approx. 11-16.5 pounds cats. Most adult average size cats wear medium. L (Large) Fit for Approx. 16.5 pounds and up cats. Large-boned cats wear large. Application Steps: (We recommend 2 People's Work) 1.Correct size is important. Take one of the nail caps out and try it on your cat's claws without the glue to ensure a proper snug fit. 2.Trim cat claws to the same length with that of the nail caps. If the nail cap is too large, you may trim the open end of the nail cap until it fits. (Note: Do not trim kittens claws before applying nail caps. You will need a sufficient claw surface for the glue to adhere properly. 3.Fill each nail cap a little glue, only glue in a part of the nail (about 1/3, never fill to too full to prevent overflow of the adhesive), Wait the adhesive is half-dried in the nail cap. (Please be careful and avoid dropping glue on your hands or your cat's fur, if you do, remove it with use nail varnish remover or dispergator.) 4.Grasp the claws of your cat, slightly push aside the fur around the nail and expose the nail. Put the nail caps onto the claw and make sure they are completely wrapped. Wait until the adhesive is dry and continue with the next nail. 5.Observe your cat at least 5min to make sure nail caps are secure, then you have completed, We suggest you to distract your cat or feed his or her favorite food immediately after applying all nail caps. Notes: 1.Most cats will like their new caps, but some cats will reject. Generally, after wearing for the first few times, they will get used to them and without any discomfort. 2.Different cats, different movement and location (such as cement, grass, floor, carpet) etc., different wear rate of the nail caps. Some wearing 3-5 days may wear out. Some can wear 1-2 months or even longer. 3.Addition, the cat nails have scalability, we recommend you leave a little gap out when stick the nails, that cat nails have activity space.

Review: Package arrived with the claw covers but missing the glue and applicators. Very disappointed as I cannot use these without the glue and applicators.
Review: Keeping in mind that I am an "experienced" user of claw caps, these are very easy to use and check all of the boxes for ease of application, long wear, glue quality, etc. They seem to be little sturdier than some of the other budget options, where the tips of the caps will sometimes break off. Some suggestions: 1) Your cats claws are probably not all the same size, just like your nails vary from finger to finger. Most of my cat's claws (he is a large male) fit well into Medium caps. Medium is also what this brand recommends for his weight. But I also keep a small set of Small caps on hand because his "pinkies" and dew claws are a little smaller, so a medium is not as snug of a fit. Mixing and matching brands won't make a difference, so you can try a much smaller quantity that will last you a while if you think this applies to your cat. 2) Your cat sheds the outer layer of its claws, just like a shark sheds its teeth. So when you see that he or she has lost a cap, don't just assume that it fell off, if it has a layer of claw still attached to the glue inside - it was shed. That means that you did nothing wrong, the cap and the glue are not bad, your cat is just doing what it is supposed to do. If you do not make a great big chore out of applying your cat's caps, you will have an easy time keeping up with this turnover. Usually, as soon as I notice that my cat has a free nail, I will trim it, and the next time the two of us have a free moment together in the kitchen, that sucker is getting capped. Your cat will have a lot more patience with one or two nails being done than the whole set anyway. 3) I keep my glue and the tip in a baggie in the fridge. I think it really helps. I can usually reuse the tip many times, but other people seem to have a problem with that sometimes, as they have the glue dry inside and need a new one every time. Obviously, avoid leaving a glob of glue in the tip if you can by sucking it back into the glue tube. You also don't have to use the tip necessarily if you don't have one, although this might be easier with bigger claws. 4) You only need a tiny bit of glue. Squeeze a small amount in, then squeeze the cap gently shut between your fingers. This distributes the glue around and you should just be able to see the glue when you are squeezing, not when it is open. What happens if you put too much glue in? Well, you will find out if you get any glue on yourself. It is viciously sticky and it hurts to get off. It will hurt your cat if it gets on its fur and skin and it tries to move its toes or get it off. The less pleasant the experience is for the cat, the harder it will be for everyone. Which brings me to my next point: 5) Treats. My cat is basically completely fine with claw caps being done and just sits there, because he gets ALL OF THE TREATS. He normally doesn't get very many, definitely not an everyday thing at my house. But with claw caps and medicine, I reward his patience generously. 6) Your cat will probably not like getting claw caps the first couple of times, but will get completely used to them. On the other hand, some cats just cannot do it. If you have that kind of cat, don't blame the product, just understand that this is not the right solution in your situation. And don't buy a bulk box of claw caps like this one if you haven't tried it even once.

These work very well. Our cat was a little nervous during the process of 'fitting' them but after a few minutes of playtime only occasionally tried to bite at them... a couple of days later, she's almost completely used to them. They are colourful, quite stylish (especially the glittery colours!) and definitely save furniture and assorted limbs from scratches. The fitting process was relatively straightforward but for us was definitely a 2-person job. We ordered 'Small' but even these were too large so we cut them to size, as per the instructions. The glue can get everywhere so be careful, especially upon first opening the little bottles (keep them upright as the glue is quite runny). All in all, very satisfied...
