But I do use a small amount of petroleum jelly on the O-ring and I flip the cartridge every couple of months. The HCC-2 Blue appears to have a slight difference on the ends to fit an older style shower head according to the description. **Q: what are actual dimensions of this filter refill? i have sonaki vit c and this seems close in dimensions visually** A: The O ring fittings on each end fit snugly inside the Sprite wand, with a little help from a dab of Vaseline or grease smeared on them, that's how precise the fit is. My suggestion would be to order some, then send them back if they do not fit. I don't think Amazon charges for immediate returns. Also, I will never buy these filters again, as the "Sprite" brand last longer, and do a better job at removing chlorine. If you try them and the fit is slightly loose, you could try different thickness O rings. Get an O ring collection at Orchard Supply, Lowes, Home Depot. O rings stretch quite a bit, so the inside diameter should be smaller than the item you want to fit it on. **Q: So this is 4 filters? Two filters only cost $13** A: I ususally buy the 4 pack as it is cheaper from the source on Amazon that I use. Make your own decisions **Q: Do these need to be reversed halfway though their 3 month expectancy?** A: I have change the direction of them and I have not, but I can't positively say if this has any effect on their life span. I just change them when I see the color change, not necessarily at 3 months. You are going to have to gauge your usage. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works *by on Reviewed in Canada 13 January 2026* Fits the filter body and works as advertised ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great at removing chlorine and softening your shower water for softer hair and skin *by on Reviewed in the United States 4 June 2013* Perfect for use with the Ageless water filter from sprite. These filters are so awesome because they not only soften hard water ( somewhat) but they more importantly filter out the yucky chlorine which is added to the water in most major cities. Chlorine wrecks havoc on your skin, hair and eyes, and it's daily inhalation is terrible for your lungs. This makes your daily shower not only unhealthy, but smelly! ( I hate the smell of chlorine) Most people, however are so used to it, they are somewhat immune, and aren't even aware of the daily danger of exposure to it. Do yourself and your family a favor. Try this filter and you will wonder how you lived without it for so long.As for me, I have extremely hard water in my home ( I am living temporarily in London, which has notoriously hard water) and these filters really make a difference. ( note...they are not the same as an actual water softening system, but they do soften the water somewhat.) In my opinion, if you are a renter, living in a temporary home ( as I am) or simply cannot afford a whole house softening system, at least if you use this with a sprite filter, you'll avoid bathing daily in yucky, hard, chlorinated water, and you can soften it a bit as well.My hair is no longer dry and matted to my head soon after washing. My skin is no longer itchy and dry, and my shower and tub have less lime scale for me to clean. Notice, I say LESS. Remember, These filters are not a cure all for hard water, but where they really perform is tackling those smelly vapors from chlorine, which is primarily why I buy them.Remember to change the filter every 2-4 months ( Two if your shower is constantly used, three- four if used less) and also, once a month, unscrew your showerhead, take out the filter, turn it around the opposite way, and re insert it, as according to manufacturer instructions, as this improves performance. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cartouche identique à celles d'origine ! *by on Reviewed in France 22 April 2026* Délais de livraison long, mais article d'origine.
