If you skip every scene with the toxic blonde girlfriend, and just assume that he was an idiot for falling for her, you're all set. The scenes between the two male leads (Aaron Stanford and Jacob Fishel) are perfect. Just two guys with a lot of history and a lot of baggage trying to find their way. These scenes are the most honest and compelling. Having seen Stanford play some really good guys it was tough to watch him play such a selfish, self-destructive person, but he nailed it. Though Fishel is arguable "the lead", Stanford's is the strongest performance. Add a star if you're a NY-er (like me), subtract one if gratuitous 9/11 framing irritates you (like me). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars a suprise *by T***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2012* I bought this movie because it had Nicole Vicius in it and I like her and yes she played a part in it but what captivated me about the film was the guy who played andrew. all i could think is, if they remade "midnight cowboy" he should totally play ratzo. He reminded me of a younger Dustin Hoffman. His acting was amazing. Its one of those movies i think ill get more out of the second time around but I loved it. Its not a happy film but its also beautiful. As always Nicole Vicius is beutiful and talented though she is playing a character different than any ive seen her play before. I czn say its the best movie ive ever seen but I was very happy i bought it and would reccomend it to any fan of indie arthouse cinema. well done. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Honest, Passionate Film *by T***T on Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2013* An honest look at what it meant to live in NYC during the early 00's in the wake of 9/11 and the sudden blackout. Having lived there myself, I can tell you that this film about young professionals feeling the rug yanked out from under them rings true with great resonance.
