All other fits good. I have sanded both over 30 minutes. Replace?** A: The standard center tube is the same size as A, B or C rocket engine. Sanding it for 30 minutes is much to long to make it fit. Used a used engine after you clean it out **Q: Is there any way to use this to set fins that are up higher on the body, and not at the very bottom?** A: It depends on how high on the body they are. I've used this to set fins that are four inches or more above the base of the rocket, but those had a pretty big angle so I was able to clamp part of the fin very high on the plastic. I use a piece of wood from the sheet the fins are cut out of as a height guide so I get them all the same. If it's really high, you might be able to turn the rocket body and find upside-down and attach them that way (too far from the bottom could be close enough to the top of the body). **Q: Does Estes sell the fins separately? I can't seem to find just fins.** A: Call Estes Customer Service 800 number and ask can they send it to you. Go to the website and find the contact us link **Q: Can the fins be glued at an angle to induce spin?** A: The Estes PN 2231 Fin Alignment Guide is designed to only align fins vertically on the body tube. No provision was ever make to alter fin alignment as this would require flight testing of all Estes rockets to support that angling fins was OK to do on all products as it could potentially decrease the altitude performance on all products. Additionally, we do not and would not support the idea of angling fins on any Estes rocket unless that product was specifically designed to spin during launch, like PN 7258 Space Twister.
