I plugged the paddles into one side and the joystick into the other and the unit was plugged into the player one joystick port. Popped in a Kaboom! cartridge to play but the fire button didn’t work. The paddle controller worked but it was very jumpy. Then I tried a joystick game (Megamania) and nothing worked. Not movement or fire.
