Search for Strandbeest Animaris Ordis Parvus for the authentic model with "a personal certificate signed by Theo Jansen as proof that you’ve bought the original kit." **Q: Can someone tell me the dimensions of the tube? my kit didnt have the tube in the package and the package was clearly opened before i got it.** A: Not sure. This was one of the worst purchases last year. Flimsy and broke during assembly. **Q: Has anyone put this on the beach? Will it hold up to wind? (Even for a few minutes would be ok!)** A: It works best in a stiff wind. Too light a breeze and it won’t go at all. I didn’t try it on the beach because I thought it would get stuck in the sand because it has narrow feet. I ran it in a sidewalk next to the beach. **Q: Is there a way to get replacement parts? I ordered this item and it had parts missing (and others extra).** A: I haven’t looked to see if spare parts are available, but if the seller or manufacturer are unwilling to send out spare parts for free, I’m guessing that at the current price of $8.95 you’ll just be told to buy another one.
