Review: Perfect fit, intonation good, five stars - I bought this bone saddle for my Martin dread as an upgrade over the tusk saddle that it came with. It seemed to improve the sound and add a little bit of volume. It could be all in my head but either way it's a cheap upgrade. The saddle was quite tall out of the package but that isn't a bad thing as everyone will have their own preference when it comes to action height. It comes with a small piece of sandpaper too so you can sand the saddle down to the needed height. Overall a good product and I would purchase again.
Review: This is the best $20 you’ll ever spend for bringing your acoustic guitar tone up to a higher level! - I had read many times that replacing your stock saddle with a bone saddle would increase the tone of your acoustic guitar considerably. Well this is true. I emailed the company to make sure I was ordering The correct saddle for my martin X series guitar and they emailed me right back and I had the saddle and three or four days. It went right in place of the old one no sanding was needed and the action is perfect and the sound is really unbelievable and I’m not just saying this and I don’t work for the company. They are a great bunch of folks and I highly recommend this product to anybody looking for greater tone out of your acoustic guitar

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would this fit a martin jr 000?**
A: It fit our Martin Djr just fine. Shaved it down a bit and it made it sound so much brighter and livelier. Not sure about the newer Djr 000 but it should fit

**Q: Does anyone know if this is the proper saddle for a Martin D15 with an under saddle pickup?**
A: I got two of these saddle, one for my Martin OM with an under saddle pickup one for a Martin OO, and the saddle fit both. I would think this saddle would fit a D15.

**Q: Will this fit a Martin D28-12 1973 ? Wave compensated**
A: Hello,

Sorry, but no. Although the length, thickness might work, models from that era used a non-compensated saddle and so the saddle in this listing could negatively affect your intonation. Martin will factor in saddle angle, scale length, string spacing, and string gauge to determine saddle compensation pattern. A wave compensated saddle will affect your intonation in a different way, but this isn't necessarily an intonation improvement, and could be a negative.

If you currently have a wave compensated saddle on your guitar, then it's not the original saddle as Martin did not use the wave compensated saddles until the late 1990s.

We might be able to make a non-compensated saddle for you, but would need the following information:

•	Current Saddle Length, Maximum Height, Thickness – Must be measured with a caliper
•	Bass to Treble Edge Height Difference
•	Guitar Saddle Slot Length, Thickness (if different from saddle specs) – Must be measured with a caliper
•	String spacing at the bridge

Please send this information to info@macnichol.com and we can let you know whether or not we can make a saddle for you.

Thank You
