They have never dissolved for me. I find that I have to remove the netting on the bottom of the plug when transplanting, or the plant will become root bound and die. **Q: Why is one dimension in millimeters and the other in inches?** A: To ensure both systems are represented. **Q: What is the ph balance of the pellets?** A: It's a %.# ph **Q: How long do they last? If I only use 50 will the other 50 be good next year?** A: as long as you havent wet them they will last a long time & are usable. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super easy, use hot water to hydrate pellets *by on Reviewed in the United States 23 April 2026* Exactly what we needed! Rehydrates best in as hot of water as your tap will put out. So nice to have a 100 count option to buy. Seeds germinated crazy fast in these with a grow light seed starter. We sprinkled cinnamon on top of each pellet after hydrating and planting seeds. Cinnamon is a natural mold inhibitor. Hopefully it works! So far, no mold! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value *by on Reviewed in the United States 9 August 2026* Great way to start seeds indoors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Only Way to Grow *by on Reviewed in the United States 31 July 2026* I have been using these Peat Soil Pellets for many years now. I like the 36MM because sometimes I have to hold the plant a while before planting and they still have plenty of room to grow. I like them also because they are easy on the transplant without having to touch or disturb the roots. They just make my gardening so much easier and less messy. ## Frequently Bought Together - 100 Count- Jiffy 36 MM Peat Soil Pellets Seeds Starting Plugs: Indoor Seed Starter- Start Planting Indoors for Transplanting to Garden or Planter Pot - Burpee SuperSeed Seed Starting Tray | 36 Cell Reusable Seed Starter Tray | for Starting Vegetable, Flower & Herb Seeds | Indoor Grow Kit for Plant Seedlings | for Germination Success --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/293702591-100-count-36-mm-peat-soil-pellets](https://www.desertcart.at/products/293702591-100-count-36-mm-peat-soil-pellets) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
