Product Specification: Interface:M.2 2242 Drive: TRIM command, S.M.A.R.T. monitor system, ECC technology Certification: TAA, RoHS, FCC, CE,WWN Operating Temperature: 0℃--70℃Storage Temperature: -40℃--85℃ Power Consumption (stand-by): 0.3W Power Consumption (run): 5.0W Details About the Speed: The speed of our SSD is: (for 2.5"sata, msata, M.2 (2242 2260 2280) interface) 32GB read 300MB/s write 140MB/s 60GB read 400MB/s write 180MB/s 64GB read 400MB/s write 180MB/s 120GB read 500MB/s write 420MB/s 128GB read 500MB/s write 420MB/s 240GB read 550MB/s write 450MB/s 250GB read 550MB/s write 450MB/s 256GB read 550MB/s write 450MB/s 480GB read 570MB/s write 500MB/s 500GB read 570MB/s write 500MB/s 512GB read 570MB/s write 500MB/s 1 TB read 580MB/s write 530MB/s Note:The larger the capacity of SSD is, the quicker its speed will be. Above data are also related to other hardware devices of the computer. If configurations of other hardware are high, then the speed will be faster. But if the configurations are low, the speed will be slower. ## Features - 【Excellent Performance】 SSD hard disk gets good performance at fast read and write speed, and its continuous read and write speed is greatly improved. With such an excellent solid state disk, file transfer and software startup will be faster. - 【High Stability】 The multifunctional internal ssd supports bad block managements, TRIM command, garbage collection technology, S.M.A.R.T monitor system and ECC technology (error checking and correction), which greatly enhancing the stability of data read-write and transmission. - 【Data Safety】The sata ssd product adopts original flash memory chip and has passed broad compatibility and reliability tests. With industry-leading 1.75M MTTF (Mean Time To Failure) and various error correction technologies, the portable ssd can protect your data safety well. - 【Technological lead】Ptimized for multitasking to simultaneously run resource-heavy applications without system slow-down. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07JP63RVV | | Additional Features | Solid State Drive | | Brand | Dogfish | | Built-In Media | 60GB SSD, 120GB SSD, 240GB SSD, 250GB SSD, 480GB SSD, 500GB SSD, 1TB SSD | | Cache Memory Installed Size | 120 | | Color | M.2 2242 | | Compatible Devices | Desktop, Laptop | | Connectivity Technology | SATA | | Customer Package Type | FFP | | Data Transfer Rate | 400 Megabytes Per Second | | Digital Storage Capacity | 120 GB | | Enclosure Material | Flash Memory | | Form Factor | M 2 2242, M2 | | Hard Disk Description | Solid State Drive | | Hard Disk Form Factor | 2.5 Inches | | Hard Disk Interface | Solid State | | Hard-Drive Size | 120 GB | | Hardware Connectivity | SATA 6.0 Gb/s | | Hardware Platform | PC/Mac | | Installation Type | Internal Hard Drive | | Item Weight | 10 Grams | | Manufacturer | Dogfish | | Media Speed | 450.0 | | Mfr Part Number | T6 | | Model Name | M.2 2242 | | Model Number | M.2 2242 SSD | | Number of Items | 1 | | Read Speed | 300 Megabytes Per Second | | Specific Uses For Product | Multimedia | | UPC | 791259217935 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Dogfish - **Colour:** M.2 2242 - **Compatible devices:** Desktop, Laptop - **Connectivity technology:** SATA - **Digital storage capacity:** 120 GB - **Hard disk description:** Solid State Drive - **Hard disk form factor:** 2.5 Inches - **Hard disk interface:** Solid State - **Installation type:** Internal Hard Drive - **Special features:** Solid State Drive ## Images ![SSD SATA M.2 2242 120GB Ngff Internal Solid State Drive High Performance Hard Drive for Desktop Laptop SATA III 6Gb/s Includes SSD 60GB 120GB 240GB 250GB 480GB 500GB 1TB (120GB, M.2-2242) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61I4dVw+HEL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will it work in an hp elitebook 2540p?** A: Not as a direct snap in replacement in the OEM spot. That is a 1.8 inch drive, you can buy a cd/dvd delete mount and simply replace the optical drive with this. Insure you buy the 9.5mm mount for it and be prepared to swap the small mounting tabs off your cd/dvd mount onto one you buy. It is these mounting tabs (right side and end of device) that allow you to side new mount/ssd drive into the bay and secure it down with the same 2 screws you have to take out to remove OEM optical drive. Make sure your device recognizes this new drive “mounts it” and assigns it a drive letter. Doing a video on the complete makeover and mods I’ve done and am doing on (2) 2540p i7 laptops. For the coin you spend picking these old units up you can really ramp them up into screamers relatively cheap. Mind blowing fast for their age running Linux. Couple of tips, if you are thinking of upping ram, hdd swaps, adding usb 3 options here’s some free knowledge, the 2540p will take any combination of memory sticks up to 8gb so you can mismatch gb memory sticks and come up with really random numbers like total system ram values of 2, 3, 5, 6, or 8 gb total. Be sure you install ddr3 lower density memory or it wont recognize them and wont boot. When it comes to ssd drives, traditional installs are meh.. go big or go home and always buy the best quality drives you can afford. Simply Nick **Q: Will it fit in dell mini 910?** A: Possibly but the easiest way is to take the back off and simply look. Don’t touch any, just look. Simple steps, one at a time. Don’t take answers as fact until you investigate and learn. **Q: does it fit Toshiba Satellite L655** A: I changed out the hd on my Toshiba Qosmio without any issues. I would double-check the specs on the Satellite. **Q: Does it work for hp elitebook folio 9480m?** A: Unknown - does the HP Elitebook Folio 9480m have a mSATA socket to accept this board? ## Frequently Bought Together - Dogfish SSD SATA M.2 2242 120GB Ngff Internal Solid State Drive High Performance Hard Drive for Desktop Laptop SATA III 6Gb/s SSD (120GB, M.2-2242) - M.2 NGFF SATA SSD to 2.5 IDE 44pin Converter Adapter with Case for Computer Accessries --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/294386880-ssd-sata-m-2-2242-120gb-ngff-internal-solid-state](https://www.desertcart.at/products/294386880-ssd-sata-m-2-2242-120gb-ngff-internal-solid-state) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
