Review: This lipstick has a feel that is somehow dry and oily at the same time, probably due to the mineral powder fighting with the moisturizing ingredients. That doesn't sound good, but it's not actually uncomfortable, stays on, and isn't sticky, although I find I need to blot it. I blot most lipsticks, however. I bought this in Ruby and Peony. I am reviewing Ruby here. I thought it was a pretty pinky-red shade, and it is, but it is a bit dull. It has slightly greyish undertones (I have olive skin). If you subscribe to the four seasons theory of colour, I'm pretty sure it is a summer lipstick, whereas I am a winter. It is quite pretty, but I find it a little dull on me. The one real issue I have with this lipstick is its scent. It's very strong and not all that pleasant. I don't think it smells as if it has gone bad or anything. It is just heavily scented with a sort of chemical smell I don't like. Worse even than L'Oreal. Otherwise, it comes in a pretty metallic tube that feels heavy and "expensive". That's on the plus side of things.
