No more snapping 4 or 5 times or more to light the gas. I'm using it on a Thermos C22G model (461633514) two burner grill made by Char-Broil. I bought the grill at Fleet Farm, only a week old. This spark generator will fit in the ignitor hole 3/4 inch after you remove the old ignitor, disconnect the female wire first. (You can use your old electrode) I opened up the round female wire (goes to electrode on burner) with a scratch awl a bit to accommodate the small rectangular male plug in the back of the spark generator, fits snug. I put in the AAA battery, it works like a dream! Be sure NOT TO adjust (set) your electrode to close to the burner the spark will be too weak.
