**Q: where is it made**
A: Not sure. But the product is poorly made. I dont use mine, ever since I've had it, its been at least 6lbs off! No matter what I do

**Q: Before every single weighing, do you have to set to zero?**

This scale only requires that it be set back to zero if you notice that the dial has moved to any number other than 0 to begin with. Otherwise it is designed to just step on for your weight reading. **Q: does this scale require batteries?**
A: No batteries needed.  I have had it for several months, works fine.

**Q: When i got my the red pointer was in box dose anybody know how open so i can put red pointer in**
A: I cant answer that, but ours always weighed 10 pounds heavy. tried to get it re calibrated, ended up throwing it in the garbage, Not really happy with it at all.
