Review: Seems to work well, system is now staying nice and clean - Nothing in our house was particularly well maintained before we moved in and the heating system was no exception. No idea when inhibitor was most recently added, but after a few years of living here we had some work done that required the system to be fully drained and re-filled, so I added a couple of bottles of this MC1 inhibitor. We fitted a MagnaClean Pro 2 at the same time, and after a couple of weeks it was absolutely filthy and full of magnetite, which I cleaned out. After that, I checked regularly, but it was over a year before it was worth cleaning, and after another year it's still pretty clean, so I guess this MC1 stuff does the job. Will it automatically degrease and clean the rads?** A: I don't know about degreasing and cleaning rads - the product is an inhibitor so stops things building up but doesn't purge any existing problems - you may need a power-flush to get rid of any existing build up. As regards pouring into loft tank, I wouldn't do that. I have a Magna Clean and I poured the entire contents into the Magna Clean chamber so it then gets pumped around the system to act as inhibitor. You probably need a different product to do what you want to do. **Q: Can I scoop 200ml out of the tank and fill in 200ml of this? Is this good for steel and copper pipe systems?** A: Yes, suitable for all CH systems. Don't know answer to your question about scooping out water. We use a MagnaClean so put entire contents in MagnaClean's chamber.
