Review: Great For Bandaids LOL - I have a pretty physical job and tend to scrape or get small cuts on my fingers a lot. I stuffed a few dozen bandaids in one of these and toss it in my work bag, and it works great for that purpose. It keeps the bandaids from getting crumpled up or lost in my bag, and the lid shuts firmly and stays shut. Not sure what I'll do with the other 3 tins but whatever purpose they end up serving, I'm confident they will work perfectly. This is a good buy, I recommend it.

**Q: Do the lids of these boxes open to a flat position?**
A: Hello, the lid can be opened up to 135 degrees

**Q: Are the hinges stiff? i.e. - do they stay open, or would they fall back down under their own weight?**
A: The hinges are not stiff. However, the lid will stay open once it is opened to roughly the half-point (as in the lid is essentially vertical). There is a little wiggle room in both directions once it is in that position, but outside of that position it will fall back down under its own weight (falling closed or fully open/flat). I’m not sure if over time and continued use if the hinges will wear in and not remain open at the halfway point, but for now the lid stays open in that position.

**Q: Will a magnet adhere to this box?**
A: Yes, it’s made of tinplate which attracts to magnets

**Q: what is the weight of an individual box?**
A: about 43 grams / 1.52 oz

I've seen many videos of people making everyday carry kits out of Altoids tins. I find Altoids curiously strong, but I found plain ones the same size and also these, which are about 1mm narrower and 30mm longer. They work great! The longer shape still fits comfortably in my jeans front pocket, and it holds a lot more than an Altoids tin. Mine currently holds a 6' tape, a compressed towelette, a moist towelette, a packet of Cajun seasoning, a peanut lighter, my ear buds, some seldom-used cards, and some mints. Notice how I used 1" gaffer tape to make a retainer in the lid for flat items. That keeps them handy but out of the way. I also got some stretchy adhesive pockets that go on the back of a phone case, and added one to the lid to hold often-used cards. Fits perfectly.
