We've tried everything- adding dirt, planting grass, grading. Nothing seems to work.** A: As on other answer, it's all about the soil composition. If the soil is hard clay all the way through it still will not drain properly even with the flo-well. If area is a low area and staying wet even after proper grading, then there may be a chance of a spring or just least resistant area for water to flow to. **Q: Can you just use the well and no pipes?** A: You would need some way to direct the water to the tank, Once you get water to the tank there are no other pipes needed. In my application I had a pipe running downhill to another tank. **Q: Is a NDS TT-24 Tufftrack at bottom of Flo-well needed? Why? Why not?** A: We lined a 4' foot deep hole with landscaping cloth and put about six inches of clean stone on the bottom and around the well.
