I use these to freeze lemon juice and other fruit juices. The trays stack within each other when not in use too. The easiest way I found to release the ice cubes is to keep the lid on, turn them upside down and run them under tap water for a few seconds over each cube area. The turn tray over and gently press up on the silicone bottom to release the ice cubes.
