They make decent products, their weakness is definitely their light stands. They aren't made of the best material and I'm sure if you're rough on them they would break easily. I treat mine with care and they work well for me.That being said this system is pretty good for the price. The top bar IS adjustable (not sure why other reviewers are saying it isn't, maybe user error). The bar is telescopic so you just pull on it to extend it across for however long you need it.Th stands adjust to around 7ft in height; although i've learned with these stands if you pull up on the stand so the supports for the legs are angled up you can get a height of about 8ft.These stands with a green screen in place are fairly sturdy however i would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND anchoring them with some sandbags (which you can get here on Amazon). I graduated from film school so this is second nature for me. I put sandbags on EVERY production stand I use, it's just smart.Overall for the price it's darn good system. You really do get what you pay for. This definately a portable system.I would recommend setting it up a few times because it takes some getting used to. For instance the backdrop bar is a twist lock system. Depending on how wide you need it it doesn't always want to unlock so easily. although since I use fabric backdrops I like that the pole isn't so thick that I can't use a pair of big clips to hold everything in place.The stands that hold the poles up have the best stability when the 3 bar support is completely level with each other. This makes the base circumference pretty big for each stand I'ld say a little shy of 3 feet.
