## Description

Attack on Titan closely follows the riveting story-line of the anime's first season and focuses on the exploits of various key characters, putting the player in a position to relive its most shocking, courageous and exhilarating moments. It revolves around the story of three young people who survive the destruction of their walled city district by enormous, man-eating Titans and eventually go on to join the Scout Regiment in order to protect humanity from this overpowering foe.

Review: just buy it, I guarantee you won't regret it - This game is perhaps the most entertaining PS4 game I've played thus far. Granted I've been looking forward to its US release ever since the game was first announced. As a die hard AOT fan, this game is every fans dream come true. The combat mechanics and use of gear is the true highlight of the game. I played the game for about 5 hours straight and never got sick of story mode or the side missions accompanied with story mode. While in the beginning the Titans are easier to kill, as the story progresses, the difficulty rises little by little. Once you have a handle of the controls, the game pretty much becomes addicting for all you want to do is zip from building to building, slaying any Titan in your path and saving as many of your allies as you can. Granted the game might become tedious for some but I have yet to reach that point for the game offers up a variety of things to do so the game won't get overly repetitive. The game offers story mode and within story mode comes more than a handful of missions for players to complete. Other than that, there's expedition mode which I have yet to venture into. A unique aspect of the game are the characters you can play as. Each character has their strengths and weaknesses - therefore each of them are different in combat. I honestly can't pick one favorite character because they're all so fun to play as. As far as I can tell, the max number each character can be leveled up to is 7. It seems like a small number but it takes a while to get to that point. Currently, I only have two level 7's: Levi and Eren. Also, each character has about 6-7 skill sets that unlock the more you play as a certain character. Another great thing about this game is that you don't need to be a fan of the series to enjoy the game. In fact, if your interested in AOT (and just haven't gotten a chance to read the manga or view the anime) or just want to introduce the series to a friend, I would highly recommend this game. Even non anime fans will find the game highly enjoyable. This is definitely my favorite PS4 game so far. If i could rate the game higher, I would give it about 100 stars! UPDATE 09/03/16 - The game does indeed go past the point where the anime ended. Once you reach the point where the anime ended, you'll see the end credits which make you believe story mode is over. I felt a huge amount of sadness while watching the credits and an immense amount of relief when I realized there's more to story mode. A really neat feature (in my eyes) is that once you've reached this segment (past the anime) you can choose any character out of the ones playable to complete the rest of story mode. Once you get past the point of the anime, Eren's R2 move will turn him into a Titan. The only downside (which is a pretty big downside) is that you can only remain as Titan Eren til your speciality gauge dies down - it takes like 2ish minutes for that to occur. It would have been fun to just have Titan Eren be able to come out whenever with no time limit. An interesting thing to note is that completing the last bit of story mode is no walk in the park. Despite playing on easy mode, the game makes reaching the end a challenge which can be frustrating for some but for me it's the complete opposite. Also, in order to proceed further in the arc, you now must complete certain missions. This allows you plenty of time to upgrade your blades and the rest of your gear before heading further into story mode. In addition to completing missions, the game introduces requests. While in camp, numerous people will have requests that you have the option of completing. For example, one request will be: slice off 20 Titan body parts. Once you've completed a special characters request, it will trigger a scene of sorts. The scenes aren't anything special and are mainly there for your viewing enjoyment. After you complete story mode (Attack Mode), you unlock True Attack Mode which is a highly more difficult play through of Story Mode. I am in no way exaggerating when I say this mode is infinitely more challenging than Attack Mode. I died dozens of times in just the prologue alone. Gamers who are looking for more tricker gameplay will thoroughly enjoy True Attack Mode. I finally ventured into Expedtition Mode and its perhaps my favorite mode of the game. You basically collect resources to upgrade your gears and mounts. All in all: the game is still highly entertaining. I'm hoping within the next couple of days, more add-ons will be added for the game other than the two currently available.
Review: One of the Best Games I've Ever Played - The game matches the storyline to a "T", in my opinion. I've seen the anime and am currently on chapter 59 in the manga. The graphics of the game are extravagant. It's hard to find games made after an anime or manga that has an actual anime appearance to it. While repetitive, it is challenging and you get to fight against Titans you didn't see in the anime if you play Survey Missions far enough. The game is time consuming which I like, because in order to get the the absolute final chapter (8-9 in all) you have to play so many expedition and survey mode games after you complete the main story line. You can modify your ODM Gear, create a version for yourself, and play as the main characters. Every AoT fan should play this at some point.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A game to enjoy by AoT/Shingeki no Kyojin fans or newcomers alike.
*by S***D on September 4, 2016*

Finally, a decent AoT game for the current generational consoles. Great for fans of the series as well as to jump in and zip around with an ODM (omnidirectional mobility) gear. Perfect for those looking for a recap to season 1 of AoT's anime, and a little teaser to what's coming next. Not for those who want to experience a Warriors game from Omega-force and Koei Tecmo because this game deviates from that formula into a different formula. Although, the formula is different, it is also simple. Given the variations in situations, this formula becomes very diverse. Whether you're fighting Abnormal Titans or trying to get a clear aim at the Titan weakspot, this simple formula can easily become very complex in a short amount of time. For a full overview and impression of our time with Attack on Titan (Wings of Freedom) follow us at [...]! :D (Direct link to the AoT impressions are above.
