Review: Why did I wait so long? - I know this thing has been the butt of many jokes (which is probably why I hadn't gotten one before now) but I have to say that this thing works great. I have really fine hair which makes it a pain to cut - even just shaving all around with a clipper guard. Because this thing vacuums the hair up away from your scalp it works perfect for fine hair. The only complaints I have is that one of the guard-tube things broke after light use and it is kind of a pain to mate the hose to my Dyson.
Review: Soooooo THRILLED with the Flowbee! - I must say that opening the box, reading the instructions and seeing all the little pieces was a little - no, a LOT - intimidating. But mobility is getting to be a problem for this octogenarian and I'm sick and tired of paying ridiculous prices for a shampoo and haircut only to come home and straighten out a mess myself. My hair is fine and short and "ragged" cuts simply will not do. So......in desperate need of a haircut and not wanting to try yet another stylist, I decided to just go for it. After all, they say the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is three weeks. It was soooooooo easy! And my hair is cut evenly and exactly the way I like it! The most convenient vacuum cleaner I had was a 40 year old Electrolux which will still suck the carpet off the floor. And as I learned, it will suck the Flowbee right against the scalp when you have the shortest adapter on it! Thankfully, I was working on the neckline, so no damage done, but I will probably try to work the Flowbee vacuum into the budget soon. I used three different adapters and have used my label maker to mark #1, #2 #3 to remind me which ones to use in case I forget. I am sooooooooo happy! Great product! And no more sitting for an hour waiting for someone who doesn't know how to manage his/her schedule, then coming home disappointed once again! Doesn't get any better than this!

**Q: Will this work on curly hair, or wet hair?**
A: Not on wet hair. Curly hair depends I guess on high tight the curl. The hair does have to have some ability to be pulled by the vacuum (as it is cut).

**Q: can i use a flowbee to cut a dog?**
A: It's painless on me but animal fur is harder to cut because it's finer but much more dense.  Be careful.  It might not work.  Fine hair in those big cutting teeth could pull instead of cut.

**Q: Can it work for a mohawk hair style?**
A: I have never had a Mohawk hair cut , but I think it would, but , it won't shave your head! It would cut ONLY just so close! You would have to be sure to hold a straight line with the shortest cutting-edge that comes with it!

**Q: What's the longest you can cut hair?**
A: Right at 5 5/8"

It's painfully loud near my ears and super awkward to use. I certainly wouldn't use it on myself. It should have come with the angled piece for going around the ears and back of the neck but it didn't. Had to order that separately. We use it but it's not something I'd buy again.
