We are computer systems administrators so this review is from a professional perspective. This is a step above snap! We dislike snap! This is great for kids and students where soldering is either too dangerous or time constraints are an issue. The pages are detailed, but a book on basic electronics that is AGE APPROPRIATE will be beneficial. You will learn to build series and parallel circuits immediately. There is some discussion of schematics, but just surface level. Again, lots of info for this in on the web. I love the crank and motors that are included, but i suggest using a colored disk (think pie wedges that are red, yellow, blue etc and trying different combinations and maybe getting a pinwheel to further show motors use). I love the switches and battery enclosures. While designed for middle and High School Students- this kit works with kids from ages 6+ if properly instructed. Double AA betteries will be the only thing you need to stock up on. I wish I had this kit growing up. I was soldering by age 10, but the ease of this may have helped me explore more difficult concepts like 3 way wiring earlier. Yes, you can do that with this kit. Review: I’m using this for homeschooling subject. And all the pieces look good. And the zippered bag is a great idea. But the instruction booklet which would be my teaching aid is sorely lacking. They want you to define things that they actually should be defining themselves. Now I’m gonna have to do a whole bunch of research on what the terms mean even the cover of the instruction book which has a spelling error. It was like it was written by a foreigner, who doesn’t even understand, electricity or magnetism. I used it in a physical science class on electricity. Students had a great time trying different configurations of circuits, **Q: Where can I find new directions? We seem to have lost ours.** A: Good luck finding any support of help with the EUDAX School Physics Labs kit. The website and email they list for support are fake or turned off and the other support processes they list in their written materials do not work as well. I needed information on some of the parts that were not listed in the instructions and tried for months to get a response. I do NOT recommend this product. **Q: How does multifunctioal car work?** A: The car is just a permanent magnet with wheels, you can make the car go forward or backwards by taking another magnet (from the kit) and putting it close to the car/magnet. Equal poles (S-S or N-N) repel making the car/magnet go forward (away from you), different poles (S-N or N-S) attract making the car/magnet go backwards (towards you). You can accomplish this also with the included electromagnet, when the electromagnet is off you can get it close to the car/magnet, then you turn on the electromagnet (with one of the included switches and a battery) to see the car/magnet move away or towards the electromagnet depending on how you connected the polarity of the battery ( +/- or -/+ ). Hope this helps !! **Q: I just received this today. my son is enjoying it. however, the solar panel piece came broken. how can i contact eudax diretcly to replace it?** A: Good luck-I had a similar problem with a broken component and have tried since April of 2020 to get a response from them. Email, phone, letters all had no reponse. I do NOT recommend this kit becasue of this issue and the very poorly translated, innacurate and incomplete instructions. I would return the kit and buy from one of the more reputable suppliers with an actual web site-not a fake one like Eudax. One of the dual battery holder melted the batteries within seconds of connecting the circuit and thankfully scalded my fingers and not my students! Horrified. And strangely, although everything looks good and well, the circuit can’t seems to close - meaning the bulbs have problem lighting up. I don’t know if the cables are not of good quality or the connecting points are the Low quality ones.
