You just hold your parsley, cilantro, mint or whatever herb that formerly took holding, rolling, and slicing (chiffonade). Instead, I held the herbs by the stems and began chopping over a bowl w/ the scissors! It’s easy & brilliant. The blades seem very sharp and the weight of the scissors is comfortable - not cheap feeling at all. It has a little comb to move the clippings from the scissor to a bowl, and there is also a great case to store them in. The only thing missing is a way to keep the comb attached to the outside of the case for storage.

This is such a great product that is priced reasonably and I buy it to give as a hostess gift regularly. These are just fantastic for snipping chives and other herbs. The pieces end up uniformly sized and it adds a nice effect for the dish. Also much easier than using a sharp knife on small herbs and impossible to cut yourself on them. They are dishwasher safe but might require some scrubbing in the small crevices. However, they are far too large for the hands of most women. Half the size would be better.
