Hot! *by D***U on Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2010* Sweet Temptation is one that shouldn't be missed. However, if you are offended by BDSM, this isn't the book for you. The folks who are bashing the book, apparently aren't particularly familiar with the dynamics of a power exchange relationship within the world of BDSM. What you are reading isn't force or abuse. It's completely consensual and exactly what each partner in the relationship wants and needs. Those of you calling Angelina a doormat are simply wrong. Completely submitting to another person takes extreme strength. She is the furthest thing from a doormat. Yes, she does what Micah commands her to do. He is her master and she CHOOSES to respect & love him in that way. Micah couldn't "give" her to anybody if she didn't let him do it. And she lets him because she wants it just as much as he does. She's not a doormat and he is not an abuser. They are participants in a D/S relationship and are a beautiful example of it.Sweet Temptation is extremely romantic and full of love. Again, it simply depends on if you understand the dynamics of this sort of a relationship. There are plenty of examples of tender, loving sex between the lovers.I couldn't wait for Micah's story and it met all of my expectations and then some. Micah's involvement in BDSM has been referred to from the very first book in the series. The hints were there all along that he would be the incredibly intense Dom that he is. There was no sudden change in Micah's personality. He's still the laid back, loving, and caring guy we've all come to love. His Dom persona was simply never explored as deeply as it was in Sweet Temptation.If you enjoy stories involving BDSM and power exchange, you'll love Sweet Temptation. Even if you don't know much about it. If you really read the story and pay attention to what is said outright and what is implied through looks and feelings, you'll get the loving and romantic story that is there.This is a beautiful story and one I plan to keep and add to my library. You've done it again! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Micah and Angelina; mirror images *by S***1 on Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2010* Maya Banks Sweet Series has been one of my two favorite ongoing series for quite some time now. I was very honored that I was sent an ARC of both this book and I also received one for the previous book, Sweet Seduction, Nathan and Julie. I knew that this was going to be a very intense book and I was not disappointed in that. It was very intense; more so then even Sweet Persusion, Damon and Serena.While Sweet Seduction was a fun, light hearted romp this book, Sweet Temptation, was the total oppisite. Micah and Angelina were both so intense, they both knew what they were and what they both wanted. If you have not read the first three books, please read all of them before you read this one. You must know the origins of Micah to understand why and how this book is as it is. Micah is an Alpha Dom, a sharer, a lover of erotic pain, and intense to the max. Angelina is an Alpha Submissive, also a sharer, a lover of erotic pain and intense to the max. They are each other's mirror images; two halves two a whole. That is how Ms. Banks, I think, wants you to see them as. This is their journey to each other and coming to terms with their past and it was so increably wonderful to finally see Micah put the past behind him and let it go. Angelina also had to let go of her past, face it and rise above it to finally claim what she has wanted for so long, Micah.As you might have guessed, I loved this book. While I did enjoy the third book more, this one is a close 2nd followed by Sweett Per, and then the original Sweet Surrender, Faith and Gray. All of them are great books. I will thank my sister forever for introducing me to this series and all of Maya's books.Connor will be next, due out one year from now, April 2011 and that book is a go from what Ms. Banks has said on her website. I have heard that she does indeed want to do one more after that and I am hoping that it will go to Cole. He steals every scene he is in in this book, and I as so happy to see more of Connor, as a set up for his book I am sure, and see how much he comes to love Angelina. She brings back all the people from the previous books and there is one very hot scene with Nathan and Julie that tells you what they have been up too. Damon also plays a big part in this book, since he is Micah's best friend in Houston, that it was wonderful to see him and see how he and Serena are doing. Faith and Gray are great as well.This an awesome book; but it is very intense. I loved it, but it might not be for everyone. I cannot for Connor next and see what ringer he is going to go through.
