It's easy to install and the Switchbot app provides settings for it to be used on a door or a cupboard. I even have one attached to a cat flap!Battery life is good and, as well as linking to the Switchbot app, I have also connected the contact sensor to the Samsung Smartthings app which allows me to control non-Switchbit bulbs via the sensor.The sensor also includes a small motion sensor which allows you to determine if visitors are leaving or arriving alongside a light sensor.I have found that notifications via the Switchbot app can be delayed (despite disabling battery optimisation etc) but they come through instantly via Smartthings.I have purchased contact sensors from other manufacturers in the past but this is the most versatile by far. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but......... *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 September 2025* Motion sensor works well with my other switchbot products.
