The pickups I took out of the Squier were absolutely terrible cheap. These sound like a blazing fire compared to those pickups. I didn't go measuring resistance or what have you on the pickups, just soldered them, set them and turned the amp up. Buying these TOTALLY beats the $300 pre wired pickup guards. I have a $99 Squier now that sounds like $1,000. Review: Great sound - I bought these for the first time, great vintage sound for a reasonable price. Excellent choice for my 60’s Strat build. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hot sound *by L***N on July 16, 2023* Upgraded a 1995 American Standard from factory standard to these. Definitely get a bit more punch and sustain. I especially like the way they seem to help sustain on harmonics at *each* pickup. I used to get a muddy response at the middle pickup settings. Now its nice and chimy.
