Okay, so it's big and a huge visual reminder about how much time remains. It doesn't tick - which can be troublesome for most people. There is an option on the back to have it beep when the time is up or remain silent which is great. The timer is set by moving a clear plastic piece counterclockwise and the timer is always on. This is also large enough it could be mounted to a wall or used in a classroom setting. I use this for studying and it was suggested by a professional organizer. This is perfect to use with the Pomodoro Technique (focus on task for 25 minutes with 5 minute break - repeat). Anyway, I can't say enough good things about this product.
