The instructions were a little vague and might not be suitable for a first time printer owner or those who are technophobic. I've used a lot of printers and this is my new favourite. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Review *by C***. on 19 February 2022* I bought this because I wanted to move to A3 printing and scanning after my HP A4 printer broke down. (As it happens, I haven't yet done either in A3, though I've realised that scanning the standard A4 on an A3 scanner creates some problems of correct alignment, maybe I need to tape a sheet of A3 on the scanner glass with an A4-sized hole cut in the right place.) Installation was a bit of a nightmare, the instructions are obscure especially if you just want to wire it in to one computer rather than have wireless connection and all that blah blah. Having charged more than a couple of hundred pounds, shouldn't the instructions be properly written? The paper cartridge on this A3 printer does not accept A3 paper unless the tray is left open to the elements (dust) so only infrequent use of A3 is liable to cause operability problems due to the dust layer which will have settled on that top sheet of paper, the alternative is to keep the tray shut (A4 only) and store the A3 paper somewhere else in the room (but where?) and be grateful for the reduced footprint of the printer. With my HP printer, I had (after some effort) managed to find a way to refill the cartridges by alternating between an A set and a B set so the machine believed I had swapped to a different cartridge as indeed I had though it was a refilled used one. WIth this Epson it seems harder to find a way to refill, but maybe I'm just further down the learning curve. I believe (not totally sure, TBC) you can buy refillable cartridges for this machine on Ebay but they are very expensive and if they do work they themselves have a fixed page limit I believe, again imposed by Epson software. The interactive screen is plasticky and small and not a patch on the high quality one on my A4 size HP, admittedly the HP was a professional one supplied by my then employer with less cost constraint. OVERALL, I'm left feeling that Epson's focus has been on cutting corners while stitching up the user on ink costs, all money driven for Epson's benefit, while not paying a lot of attention to the user experience. Maybe the user is expected to just be grateful that they can buy an A3 machine for this price which I don't think would have been possible 5-10 years ago. My title "lukewarm" sums it up. Would I buy it again?
