**Q: what is the length of the barrel?  I'm looking for one shorter than average.**
A: This one is not shorter than average. The length of the entire iron is 13 inches. The length of the heating element portion is 4 3/4 inches. Hope this is helpful.

**Q: Why does red light keep flasing when on?**
A: That is just showing it is heated.  (Other curling irons  I have had flash when warming and then go red.--Not this one.)

**Q: Does hair have to be wet to get this to work?**
A: I have never used the curling iron when my hair was wet.  I have known curling irons to work only on dry hair.

**Q: is it dual voltage**
A: The curling iron is dual voltage.
