If you're looking for inspiration, you need to go to the books from Hippiedom, particularly "Needleweaving," by Esther Warner Dendel, and "Weaving Off-Loom," by Dona Z. Meilach and Lee Erlin Snow. Plus Sarita R. Rainey published a new edition of "Weaving Without a Loom" which is still in print. For the big thrills, there's "Beyond Craft: The Art Fabric," by Mildred Constantine and Jack Lenor Larsen and, more recently, "Fiber: Sculpture, 1960 - Present," ed. by Jenelle Porter. There really are only 2 ways to weave--either follow someone else's projects or learn the basics and fly off on your own. I choose to fly.
