SO I want to try to help anyone else out who may not know how to use this remote with their camera. On my camera you have to change 2 different settings. The first one has to do with AUTO FOCUS. On my camera I have to push the menu button & then scroll over until I come to the "Custom" menu & hit ok. Then scroll down the Custom menu until you see "Auto Focus Remote" & switch that to "ON" & leave it like that. Now when you use your remote, it will auto focus first. Otherwise it won't & you have to look through the viewfinder & press the shutter release half way to lock focus. The 2nd setting is under the "Fn" menu & then press the up arrow to choose your "drive" mode (single, continuous, self timer, or remote). Set it to remote & choose "single, 3 sec delay, or continuous." This you will have to change every time you use the remote. It's now set & you can use it to auto focus! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product support *by L***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2013* I bought this after reading comment from someone on pdreview.com. The package includes: a Pentax DSLR remote control (RC), lens pen, and 5 microfiber clothes. So I decided to place my order. When the package arrived, I couldn't get it to work with my Pentax K-5. I was sure I know how to set the RC to work with my camera. Because the K-5 is my 3rd Pentax camera and I also have another cheap RC which I bought for $5 years ago to use with the Pentax. I wasn't terribly upset because for the price I paid, just the lens pen and the microfiber clothes enough to get my money worth. At first I decided not to return the package or ask for a replacement RC. But then I had noticed there is a small piece of paper written by the president of the company in the package. Mr. Michael (hope to remember his name right), the company president has pledged to make it right in case thing goes wrong, no matter how many times he'll have to do it to keep his customers happy. His writing is so polite, he asked the customers to give him a chance to fix the problem(s). Do not give his product a bad review. He'll try his baest for a 5-star rating. So I decided to send him an email. My email was sent late at night just before I went to bed. To my surprise, when I got up the next morning, I received an email from a lady who is Mr. Michael's assistant. The lady said she's assigned to help me because Mr. Michael was on a business trip. This lady said she will do her best to send me a replacement RC as soon as she can. Sure enough, I received a replacement RC from her less than a week later and the replacement RC works just fine.
