Lovely wood with a lustrous finish, easy to assemble, study enough to discourage the horses from using it as a plaything.Placed it under an old oak tree down by the road and use it every day on my long walk back up from the mailbox. It's one of those special simple things that make my life just a little bit more contemplative and peaceful. Perfect things are like that. . . .

The quality of wood is great. The finish is excellent. I did not realize the legs are held on with metal brackets, nuts and bolts. The hardware is not stainless steel, so if you live by the ocean there are better choices than this bench.
