Featuring a child-proof vertical pull mechanism and ASTM F1346 safety certification, it ensures secure, effortless one-handed access for adults while preventing children from opening the gate. Its built-in red/green visual indicator confirms lock status from a distance. Compatible with wood, vinyl, and metal gates, this durable latch includes all mounting hardware and is backed by over a century of manufacturing excellence. ## Description Securing your pool area has never been more straightforward than with the National Hardware MagnaLatch vertical pull gate latch. This single-unit gate latch for wooden fence, vinyl, metal, and composite gates brings together magnetic precision and child-resistant engineering in a sleek black finish that complements any outdoor setting. Whether you are installing new fence gate hardware or upgrading an existing setup, this latch delivers dependable performance that pool owners and families rely on every day. At the heart of this pool gate latch is a self-closing magnetic mechanism that draws the gate shut and locks it automatically, functioning as a true self locking gate latch every time the gate swings closed. The vertical pull design is a deliberate child proof gate latch feature β€” young children simply cannot reach or operate the release, while adults enjoy effortless one-handed access. This magnetic gate latch outdoor solution meets ASTM F1346 pool safety standards, giving you confidence that your pool gate lock keeps curious little ones safe. The adjustable multi-position magnetic catch accommodates gate misalignment and settling over time, making this an automatic gate latch that stays reliable on gates up to 2 in thick. A built-in visual indicator displays red or green status so you can confirm from across the yard that the locking gate latch is properly engaged β€” no need to check by hand. Measuring 6 in x 17 in x 3.25 in and finished in bold black, this fence gate lock arrives as a complete package with all mounting hardware included. National Hardware backs this magna latch pool gate safety latch with over a century of manufacturing expertise, making it a trusted choice for fence latch and gate hardware upgrades. Whether you need a magnalatch for a wood gate latch, vinyl fence gate latch, or pool gate latches for metal gates, this magna latch delivers reliable pool gate lock performance. ## Features - MAGNETIC GATE LATCH: The National Hardware MagnaLatch uses powerful magnetic technology to automatically secure your pool gate latch every closure, delivering reliable self-closing performance on wood, vinyl, or metal fences. - POOL GATE SAFETY LATCH: Meets ASTM F1346 standards as a child proof gate latch β€” the vertical pull design keeps young children from operating the locking gate latch while giving adults smooth one-handed access. - SELF LATCHING GATE LATCH: The automatic gate latch mechanism engages every time the gate swings shut, so your fence gate latch never stays open accidentally β€” ideal for outdoor gate latch applications around pools. - VISUAL INDICATOR: Built-in red and green status display confirms whether the pool gate lock is engaged, letting you verify your fence gate lock is secured from across the yard without walking over to check. - SPECIFICATIONS: This black gate latch measures 6 in x 17 in x 3.25 in, fits gates up to 2 in thick, and works with wood, metal, or vinyl fence gate hardware β€” includes all mounting hardware for a complete 1-pack install. - QUALITY: National Hardware brand ensures over a century of manufacturing excellence with color-coded labeling system for easy identification, backed by proven innovation and superior product standards. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07TS4XTRK | | Additional Features | Magnetic Self-Closing, Visible Alert Safety Indicator | | Best Sellers Rank | #52,381 in Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Home Improvement ) #10 in Gate Latches | | Brand Name | National Hardware | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (171) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00886780025224 | | Item Dimensions | 8.3 x 15.2 x 43.2 Centimeters | | Lock Type | Magnetic Lock | | Manufacturer | National Hardware | | Manufacturer Part Number | N346-212 | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Number | N346-212 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Pool and Fence Gates | | UPC | 886780025224 | | Unit Count | 1.00 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** National Hardware - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 8.3 x 15.2 x 43.2 Centimeters - **Lock Type:** Magnetic Lock - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Special Feature:** Magnetic Self-Closing, Visible Alert Safety Indicator ## Images ![Pool Safety Magna Latch Gate Latch N346-212, Vertical Pull Child Proof Gate Latch for Pool Gates or Fence Latches by National Hardware - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51T4cJlHt5L.jpg) ![Pool Safety Magna Latch Gate Latch N346-212, Vertical Pull Child Proof Gate Latch for Pool Gates or Fence Latches by National Hardware - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31Yp9Asv-tL.jpg) ![Pool Safety Magna Latch Gate Latch N346-212, Vertical Pull Child Proof Gate Latch for Pool Gates or Fence Latches by National Hardware - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41jiTQDGHZL.jpg) ![Pool Safety Magna Latch Gate Latch N346-212, Vertical Pull Child Proof Gate Latch for Pool Gates or Fence Latches by National Hardware - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51BELYF+iVL.jpg) ![Pool Safety Magna Latch Gate Latch N346-212, Vertical Pull Child Proof Gate Latch for Pool Gates or Fence Latches by National Hardware - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41rOorq6AML.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - National Hardware Pool Safety Magna Latch Gate Latch N346-212, Vertical Pull Child Proof Gate Latch for Pool Gates or Fence Latches, Black - D&D Technologies TCA1L2S3BTS TruClose Regular Duty Gate Hinges, for Self Closing Metal Gates up to 66 Pounds, with Alignment Legs, Gloss Black, 2 Count - D&D Technologies TCHD1L2S3BTS TruClose Heavy Duty Gate Hinges, for Self Closing Metal, Wood, or Vinyl Gates up to 154 Pounds, with Alignment Legs, Black, 2 Count --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/345450449-pool-safety-magna-latch-gate-latch-n346-212-vertical-pull](https://www.desertcart.at/products/345450449-pool-safety-magna-latch-gate-latch-n346-212-vertical-pull) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
