Pictures don't quite do it justice. It looks slightly better in person. Build quality: Very good - 9/10. It's about as light as I expected, given I have experience with woodworking. It's very light for a hardwood. There's some extremely minor pockmarks in the center of the wood, but none in the seams, which is important or it would lose water-seal and lead to problems with cleaning (due to pieces of food getting wedged in there). I feel the pockmarks add character and are shallow enough that they don't detract from cleaning. Cleaning: Very good - 9/10. Just be aware of what you're getting yourself into before purchasing or you'll be disappointed. Don't put certain things in it (like soup or tomato-based sauces). The included cleaning instructions make it clear: lightly clean with WARM, soapy water (and no harsh chemicals). You should oil it with vegetable oil after ~every~ use to re-seal it (to protect it), otherwise it will quickly deteriorate. I'd strongly suggest not allowing children or careless people to handle / use the bowl. Durability: Very good so far, although it's only been a few weeks - 9/10. Again, be aware of what you're getting yourself into. It's a wooden bowl, so it won't withstand being dropped as well as most plastic bowls, but it seems very-solidly made for what they have to work with. In terms of longevity, just like ceramic bowls, I expect it to have a limited lifespan (unlike say, stainless steel, which would be much longer). I'd be happy to see 5 - 15 years out of this for the price, construction, and finish, as long as it's well-cared for. If the interior finish gets ruined from wear-and-tear after a (hopefully) reasonable lifespan, it would have a good second life as a plant-pot if holes were drilled in it for drainage. Compared to other products I was considering that appeared to be extremely thin plywood, this will definitely hold up MUCH better. Size: Large - Depends on what you want to use it for. I use it as a salad bowl to eat directly out of daily because I don't like to have to worry about my salad bits going flying out onto the table. It's wide and deep, and could be used as the main serving salad bowl for a small gathering of 3 - 4 people if filled to the top. Color / Photo - Wood is on the darker side, but not extremely dark. Modern cameras skew lighting (especially fancy camera phones), so it's hard to judge by photos. The table it's sitting on is pretty dark wood, for comparison, but not extreme. Photo was after bout ~15 uses and oiling (still appears as it did as brand-new). Review: great bowl! - it’s really nice to make salad (for 4) or to just keep fruits on the counter, the wood seems to be good quality so far, highly recommend! ## Features - Considerable Capacity: Eleven-inch wide and 4.5-inch wood bowl; serves as a centerpiece or serving bowl for fruits and salads - Acacia Wood Bowl: Made of premium quality solid acacia wood; perfect for serving; resistant to water, stains, and odor absorption - Healthy Food Choice: Made of natural acacia wood; food-safe and non-toxic finish; durable and long-lasting - Beautiful Kitchenware: Woodenware enhances beauty and quality of life; doubles as home decor - Wash and Maintain Instructions: Wash with soapy water and towel dry after each use; do not soak or expose to prevent cracking; do not put in dishwasher, microwave, or oven ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0912MVHXR | | Best Sellers Rank | #73,110 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #91 in Salad Bowls | | Bowl Material | Wood | | Brand | AIDEA | | Brand Name | AIDEA | | Color | Brown | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 557 Reviews | | Included Components | Lid | | Item Dimensions W x H | 11"W x 4.5"H | | Material Type | Acacia Wood | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Durable | | Pattern | Solid | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Product Style | Classic | | Shape | Round | | Size | 11" Salad Bowl | | Special Feature | Durable | | Specific Uses For Product | Fruit, Salad | | Style | Classic | | Theme | Natural Living | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Bowl Material:** Wood - **Brand:** AIDEA - **Color:** Brown - **Number of Pieces:** 1 - **Style:** Classic ## Images ![11" Salad Bowl - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71NJPHg929S.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality - Seems like it will last.
