The key fob doesn’t snap open but You have to use a razor and pliers to open it. Then it has to be welded in after removing the solder to get the old battery out. My rechargeable original OEM battery lasted from 2010 until 2023. This new battery lasted only 7 months and didn’t seem to recharge properly.
