This is not the pyrex which used to be. Pyrex has new owners which love to cut corners apparently. They changed the way they make the glass and it shatters easily. I had one shatter on me yesterday. It was hot in the oven, and as soon as i opened the oven door and the cooler air from my kitchen touched it, it blew up. Pyrex is officially garbage **Q: Is it made in china** A: No. None of Pyrex's products are made in China. All are Made in USA **Q: Is this made with soda lime or borosilicate?** A: pyrex (all lowercase) is made with soda lime PYREX (all caps) is made with borosilicate The pictures don't give a good look at the logo but reviews indicate this is pyrex (soda lime) **Q: Is this Pyrex with borosilicate glass or pyrex with tempered glass?** A: I have had mine for several years, but when I bought it, it was safe to go right from the fridge to the oven. It was likely borosilicate at the time.
