The roll bag is a nice touch but every single knife comes razor sharp and ready for immediate use. Their weighted perfectly for long days of chopping, dicing and general kitchen prep work. I do wish the handle wasn't so slick. I always were nitrile gloves in the kitchen and this knife can be a bit "slippery" when used with gloves. I plan to try and find a glove that has some sort of "grip" that may assist with this.
