Review: What a great addition to an old car! - Ok. I admit my visceral reaction to first spotting this adapter was, “huh, that seems a little expensive.” After review and initial use, I’ve changed my mind about that. I am prejudiced about cheap Chinese knockoff products. I expected this to be another. It is not. Fit, finish, and feel are quite high. Functionality and placement are well thought through, especially for such a small footprint/volume. Ultimately I needed it to do what I bought it for — to be a good interface to play music from my phone, not to look fancy. How did it do? These are initial impressions- I’ll update later if warranted after a bit of road use. But for now — setup was effortless. It locked into the vacant channel and between this device and my car's radio the channel went silent of any static. Engine was running - no alternator whine. Bluetooth pairing took 5 seconds. Audio was clear and loud. No hiss/distortion at “too loud” radio volume, so verdict is — success. I was not even looking for or even noticed on desertcart the hands-free phone function and built in microphone. Great feature since holding a device is a no go (legally here and functionally — car has standard transmission). I cannot review that here yet. Having started my driving during “AM Radio and one center dash speaker” days - I’m used to the dance on road trips of stations coming and going. So I’m sure same will be for this system if on the road and a nearing station on the selected frequency gets strong enough to walk on the selected frequency — welcome back to early 2000’s when XM came into existence. Ya just have to pull over and tune a new unused channel once in awhile - no biggie. So far — I’m impressed with this item. Oh! And a three year warranty?!? What product these days comes with the three year warranty??? That’s impressive too.
Review: Easy way to play music from your iPhone in an older car without Apple compatibility - My RX8 only has an AM/FM radio with CD & cassette drives, and an option to connect to a mini-disc player which I never purchased. The CDs sounded fairly good, but when I got an iPhone 16 Pro Max I had room enough room to load my entire library of CDs on the iPhone but wanted a better way to play music on the Bose sound system in the car. I bought a Syncwire 5.4 to see if and how I could integrate it into my car's sound system. It turned out to be pretty easy and is easy to use while driving and the price of the Syncwire is very reasonable. I put an attachment on my center console that holds the iPhone 16, plugged the Syncwire into the cigarette lighter and found an unused frequency on the FM channel and selected that channel on the Syncwire. I set one of the FM preset buttons on the Bose to that frequency I'd selected on the Syncwire so that I could listen to other FM station presets on the Bose so I have access to both the Bose and Syncwire by just using the presets, and the CD player still works normally, but I doubt I'll ever use it again. The iPhone and Syncwire connect with Blutooth, the iPhone is in a spring loaded cradle, and can be powered directly from the Syncwire with a short USB-C to USB-C cable to keep the iPhone battery charged, but because the Syncwire runs a little hot I put a second charger in the cigarette lighter socket in the console between the driver and the front passenger seat console and ran a USB-C to USB-C charger cable from the charger to the iPhone. So now I can use the iPhone's Music app to pick the songs or playlists of my choice and play them through the Bose sound system and keep the iPhone charged up on long drives and never listen to the same song twice or repeat songs from the iPhone's screen, easily remove my iPhone and Syncwire when not in use and I am extremely pleased with the results. I bought a spare Syncwire (just in case). [The iPhone in the photo looks larger than it appears because it's closer to the camera lens].

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It’s good but could be better

It’s good, I don’t know if it’s my truck but on certain places the static becomes too much and I have tried multiple stations. I had other products similar to these and this would scan the radio stations to see which one is the best. The features are fine, the bass light is a bit annoying but can be turned off. The bass booster works great. The phone call button is useful but haven’t tested the microphone, you can press once this button to play or pause your music but can skip the song with 2 taps which is something I wish it had It’s really easy to connect to it and delay is almost none. Good value for the money
