Review: Great for mortar! - Works well for grinding down mortar. I'd recommend to let it cool down in-between to extend the life. But, so far, it's still good. Not problems like others described. Cuts through old mortar very well. I have not tried it on the grout lines yet. The grout blades are nice and thin.

Works well for grinding down mortar. I'd recommend to let it cool down in-between to extend the life. But, so far, it's still good. Not problems like others described. Cuts through old mortar very well. I have not tried it on the grout lines yet. The grout blades are nice and thin.

I know the description says its for grout, i used it to complete a 90 degree cut on my backsplash. It did the job but it was clearly not meant for tile. My cuts were only 1/2in or so so i knew id make it work. Anything longer i would not recommend.
