I recently bought another outdoor camera so I'd have one for the front and backyards. I ordered an extra batt to have as a standby/extra and SS says the batts last for 3 months, give or take. We got close to that with our first one but recently I got a notice that the new batt is low and I'd just changed it. This was a new batt and perhaps it needed to be drained and charged more than once right out of the box. Our temps here got up to 115 for several days so I have to factor that into a possible reason the new one "pooped out" so early.
