RootX 4lb X2 for a total of 8lbs Foaiming root killer with funnel. These 4 pound containers of RootX come with the application funnel and are packaged as two dry powder components in one container. When these components come in contact with water they create a sticky foam that fills the entire pipe, coating the roots and pipeline surfaces with the RootX formula. RootX leaves a residual above the water line that continues to kill roots and inhibits new growth for up to 12 months.

A plumber and I added Rootkill to the outside cleanout.  The applicator fitted easily into the container.  The instructions were thorough and helpful. There was no foam backup.  A large amount of water was added.  I had had a major blockage and had had the sewer line snaked.  The plumber said that was the best way.  Apply the product to the clean line.  So far, everything works.  Did it kill the roots?  I have no idea.  That remains to be seen.

The plumber could not clear my 100ft sewer line with a high pressure device.  I added the root=x , and left it for 24hrs. while he arranged for blue steak to dig up the yard.  It completely cleared. Now I add to  the pipe once a year as prevention.
