Returned because my stem angle. Review: Pretty much perfect - I got this mount because the official Garmin mount doesn't fit properly on my tapered bars. It sat on an angle and was a little hard to tighten enough. I found this mount and it looked like the perfect solution. I know it does not support my Garmin 1030, but I never listen. It actually does work with it. The mount is very well made and installation is a no brainer, even for a mentally handicapped chimpanzee. I'm not quite sure why it doesn't technically support Gamin 1030/1040 but I would guess it might have something to do with the size and weight of the Garmin unit. The plastic insert that the Garmin clips into seems to be a little thinner than the one in Garmin mounts. Could that be the reason? I put the tether on the computer just in case. As you can see from my photos, I actually mounted a light. I don't think I would do this on a mountain bike, but so far it seems fine on my road bike. If the 1030 proves to be too much, I have other compatible Garmins so it wouldn't be the end of the world.
