PLAYERS: 3-6 players. THEME: Fantasy, social deduction, "take that!", party game MECHANISMS: simultaneous player action, action pool OVERVIEW: This is rock, paper scissor, the gamer version. 5 cards will be placed on the table face up. Once everyone is ready everyone chants ROCK PAPER WIZARD and casts their spell by coping the hand gesture on the spell you want to cast and pointing it at the person you want to affect. The spells often affect the placement of your characters on a track to reach some gold. The player or players in the lead will get 5gp 1 of the 5 spells is discarded and a new one is drawn and the round starts over. OBJECTIVE: first person to 25gp is winner COMPONENTS: lots of card board money tokens, a little board to track players, different wizard tokens to identify each other, tarot size cards for the spell cards Pretty much all the components are cardboard. REVIEW: This game is small in physical size and game length but it packs a punch. This game has elements lots of elements found in Poker. This game forces you to think quick on your feet; especially since the spells resolve in turn order, a la MTG. The depth of the game is mild and comparable to games like Liar's Dice. PROS: quick ,fun, replay ability is high unique party game simple rules no player elimination CONS: The "take that !" element of the game isn't everyone's cup of tea SIMILAR TO: Rock Paper Scissor, Liar's Dice, Poker, some racing games? Review: Really fun without a big time or set up committment - Being a long time D&D player, and an avid board gamer, this game is something I was interested in as soon as I heard about it. Of course this is not really anything like D&D, and is not an in-depth game, but it is basically rock, paper, scissors with D&D spells, and it is really fun. The game is very easy to understand, and the rules are very well written. A lot of games have a few sections in the rules that leave you unsure of exactly how a certain aspect of the game works, but this covers everything just fine. As I previously said, it's not an in-depth game, but is great for lighthearted fun with a group of friends. It's a great filler for when you don't have time for longer games, and it's better than other games of that type that I own. With 3 players, each game we've played has lasted about 15 minutes. The box says 30 minutes which would probably be just about right with 5 or 6 players. If you like the occasional lighter, less serious game and enjoy D&D to the point that you'd enjoy the crossover of the D&D spells replacing rock, paper, scissors, this would make a great addition to your collection. ## Features - Fast Paced spell casting makes for quick games with endless replay value - Utilizes known spells from the popular Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game - Easy learning curve makes it accessible for players of all levels of game experience to jump in and enjoy - For 3-6 Players. Ages 14 and up - 30 minute playing time ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01LW2INHK | | Age Range Description | 14+ | | Best Sellers Rank | #289,152 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #6,782 in Board Games (Toys & Games) | | Brand Name | WizKids | | Color | Base | | Container Type | Box | | Customer Package Type | FFP | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 347 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Develop strategic thinking, problem-solving, and sportsmanship skills; introduce players to Dungeons & Dragons lore and mechanics | | Estimated Playing Time | 30 minutes | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00634482727898 | | Grenre | Strategy | | Included Components | Rock Paper Wizard | | Item Dimensions | 5 x 6.5 x 1.5 inches | | Item Dimensions L x W | 6.5"L x 5.1"W | | Item Type Name | Board game | | Item Weight | 16 ounces | | Manufacturer | FLAHC | | Manufacturer Part Number | 72789 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Manufacturer recommended age | 14 years and up | | Material Type | Paper | | Model Name | Dungeons & Dragons: Rock Paper Wizard | | Model Number | 72789 | | Model Year | 2021 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Players | 6 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Other Special Features of the Product | Dungeons & Dragons edition, unique spell casting, powerful wizard character, simultaneous action selection | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Power Source | manual | | Product Style | Medieval | | Set Name | Dungeons & Dragons | | Size | 6.5 x 5 x 1.5 inches | | Subject Character | wizard | | Theme | Dragon,Race | | UPC | 634482727898 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![Dungeons & Dragons: Rock Paper Wizard - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71g-QnRMvxL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cool different party game! *by D***E on February 19, 2018* LENGTH: about 30 mins. Gameplay The game itself can be confusing at first but with a few trial runs and referring to the instruction you would enjoy playing this specially making about 23 different gestures along the game. 2. Pieces The item has a complete set of gold token, characters and other but keep in mind to get a ziplock or a place to store this because this are bit small, small enough to get lost easily when not fixed properly. 3. Time A great way to spend a few minutes with friends, even family, if you guys are in to it, a way to practice quick thinking, sportmanship, and wits as well. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dungeons & Dragons: Rock Paper Wizard - Rock Paper Wizard: Fistful of Monsters Expansion - Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Mayhem Boardgame - 120 Cards --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/36877746-dungeons-and-dragons-rock-paper-wizard](https://www.desertcart.at/products/36877746-dungeons-and-dragons-rock-paper-wizard) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
